covert reports slight change Empty covert reports slight change

want covert reports to layer up. as you find out what ????? are on a covert report the report builds up so each time you see everything that you have spied. In other words i would like active reports.

[scrapped 6 paragraphs about it being a pain and explaining why it would be a pain]

On second thought, mostly because I'm so amazingly cool and a genius I could modify it that if you reconed said target in the last 5 mins you'd have the data stacked. Would be still a pain, but a good deal less work.

One problem will remain.
If you recon and find out someone has 1k spies
That someone untrains 500 spies
You recon again and you will still see 1k spies if normally you'd have gotten ???'s in the covert report.

I could fix it by having it change into ???'s if the real value changed and you would not have received the new data anyway on the new recon report.
But not really sure I want to do it, takes away the fun of stackable reports then

well i assume most people will do the recon with in a few minutes.
just a quick question if something did change between your first and say last one would that update. The orginial reason i suggested this is it would be more like in really life where you have a file on the person and as you find new bits of info and updates to ones you have you would simple up date the file

k but if lets say you see 10 mil strike, which you already have in your report.
you recon again and by now the strike changed to 12 mil.

you'll still only see 10 mil if the new recon would have otherwise yielded no information about the new strike action

there is too much risk. I prefer covert logs as they are now.

stacking up would be good, but only if the data is the newest and new 12 mill def wont appear as last reckoned 10 mill

well if get going to be like that nope wouldn't change system.
have another suggestion then that might be easier to code. you have a page already at mo showing report this gets stored for a set number of days as it is now all that would need to be done is when x report is filling textbox for say attack turns it checks what the text box of x-1 for attack turns was. if value of testbox same no need to update but if it has changed then it updates it. This way not stacked reports but even with 6 reports the final one is filled with all the info that has been spied and still updated.

How about inserting a color or symbol that indicates which stats were revealed in the last spy report and which have a risk of being outdated?

pain, too much trouble/code/resources needed.
basically a useless if statement on each number that gets shown, open one spy log and there you have 40+ if statements more for no reason

Well it sounds great to me
a little risk but heck that's fun aswell.

Considering massing attack is one button it's not like the player online can quickly increase his defense (between your spy action and mass action ~1second??).
Of course when doing covert/assassin actions they might catch you off guard but you'd only have one loss (since expected you do read the logs to check instead of ramming the same button on end.. to save ... 2 seconds of time)
But what are the odds? he is online he just noticed 'someone' is sabbing/assassinating him, so he 'quickly' trains more stuff or sets on critical (if not already on and calculated in you original amount of units sent). If you're serious about doing these actions you should have followed his moves (AKA knowing when he's offline) --> TACTICS

Anyways in conclusion, the way admin proposed it, stacking covert logs seems super to me

(maybe 1 quick question, 5min of covert logs stacked and when you keep spying after that, the first one after 5 minutes is log 0, or does the stacking flow with the time? im guessing option is easier to code?)

would obviously get the new timestamp if you spied. and i might limit it to stacking up to 2 minutes, 5 mins is too long i think
