Realm Alert level

I need to know what this is and how it will help me during the night or when I can't be at the pc from protecting me from getting farmed by the bigger guys.. Can some of you all please give my your insight on said feature?

If activated it increases how many spies or assassins the opponent must send in order to be successful. It also decreases your income by the same amount.

Normal = 0%
Low = 10%
Medium = 25%
High = 40%
Critical = 60%

So if you get hit at night or will be away from the PC for a long time, go to critical and it decreases your income by 60%

However work motivation might be a tiny bit more useful.

Normal = No change
Relaxed = 30% less income, 15 motivation gain per turn
Overtime = 20% more income, 20 motivation loss per turn

As you can see the income decrease is a fair bit less than realm alert. However you're able to recover 50% of the income you "lose" at a later time (i.e. when you go on protection)

Well not just on protection. If your around the PC and can bank you can go on relaxed at night and go on overtime during the day.

Use whichever feature gets you through the night with no hits or as few a hits as possible.

and, ofcourse, there are times when you don't care about income, 'cause you're at war and stuff, so you might be attacked anytime... that's when you go critical

I could probably find 5 different ways of spelling it with 5min on google...
