Max attack turns
Is there a cap to the number of attack turns you can have, like there is with supply turns? I tried to find out but couldn't find anything about it.

Re: Max attack turns
Is there a limit to the amount you can hold? I.e. past a certain amount you can no longer trade or buy Turns?

Re: Max attack turns
Somehow i really doubt that. Maybe to be sure I should change the database value from integer to smallintNomad wrote:never say never Kenzu

You being new, your surely having more problems with ST then AT. You can buy AT on the market.

Re: Max attack turns
I have more ST than AT so i guess going and buying AT on the market would be a good Idea.

Re: Max attack turns
Incorrect.
there is no present limit, but if needed Admin can and will institute one.

Re: Max attack turns
technically if someone reached 2,147,483,647 turns they wouldn't be able to gain any more turns even with tradingNomad wrote:Incorrect.

Re: Max attack turns
That's a very strange number, is that because of some weird mathamatical thing or did you just put a limit at a random number so it would be easier in future to implement a 'real' limit?

Random computer information

Random computer information
- Spoiler:
It's also the reason why you can enter colors in hexadecimal (base 16) format
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,a,b,c,d,e,f is 16 signs
#ffffff which is a "hex color" for black => # ff - ff - ff is basically 3 bytes of information.
so if you have "ff" you can have 16 x 16 combinations (00,01,02,...,09,0a,0b,...,fe,ff) which equals to 256 combinations
1 byte = 8 bits (a bit can equal a 1 or a 0) and 2 ^ 8 combinations = 256
"our" number 11 when saved as a byte is equal to 00001011
However you can only go until 255, because 0 is the 256th value.
This is also the reason why in image editing programs (i.e. photoshop) you can make custom colors by defining Red, Blue, Green (or CMYK) in terms of values ranging from 0 to 255
Attack turns are saved as "int" value which takes up 4 bytes.
So if you have 11 Turns, the server saves it as
00000000000000000000000000001011
So if you reach 2147483647 turns, it will be
01111111111111111111111111111111
The last bit is reserved for knowing if it's a positive or a negative value
In case anyone will think that this is some rocket science, it's not, this is totally basic stuff.
