I tried to make sense of the alliances and political situation here, seems pretty complicated for a simple mind like myself. A few small elite alliances, and a rather massive block World Republic (my CO is in there, great guy).

lol, to my knowledge the commonwealth (as in, the one formed on dune 3 years ago and which the one now on AW is a direct continuation of) doesn't exist on gatewars Its probably a different alliance (unless i mistaken... in which case you TC gateworld players need to brief me!)

Welcome to aderan wars though buddy. Its true The Imperium Empire (as in, The Commonwealth and The Company) are preparing for war.... though myself, Reaper and Kenzu need to discuss one final round of diplomatic negotiations eithier tonight or tommorrow which may yet avoid war and usher in a continuation of peace for a fair bit longer - but you would be wise to stay out of any alliance linked to World Republic untill the outcome of these discussions is known. The Company and The Commonwealth stand as one - ignore all World Republic players who say otherwise... since simply put they are completely ignorant of the extent which The Commonwealth and The Company are integrated in our objectives, goals, friendship and communication - it is wishful thinking of the strongest degree to think that it is just The Commonwealth leading the charge - our company friends, comrades and allies are right at the forefront with us, and very much playing an active role in deciding the outcome of this situation (which may hopefully be resolved peacefully) and of the decisions leading up to this situation.

If your an experienced player, why not create your own alliance and recruit new players, and train them in the art of growth and war? It would be good to have some more major alliances out there other than The Company and The Commonwealth!

By then I still won't have a real army standing.. but with a great CO like mine, that's fine.

Hi Universe, I already have supporter status, so I can't use resources from that to boost my UP (I already did, and used part of it to build attack and defense strength). If you were to gain supporter status as well, that would even things out a bit, so feel free to do so if you want.
What about 1 * 10^9 Kuwal (roughly 100 UP at that point) or 10000 UU for the winner? In-game resources are easiest to ship.

I planned on finding someone to buy SS for me after I reach 5k UP and have built a bit of AS.. but if we'd race to 10k, I wouldn't stop to get SS, so be at a bit of a disadvantage. Hm. Let me think about that for the weekend.

Though, to give the winner 1 day of UP is a bit meager, don't you think? 100k UU, now that would be a prize, even at 10k UP. *grin* As it stands, I make 1B Kw in -average- 4 days, so I'd propose somewhat bigger prizes. Maybe people would like to sponsor the prize? :-)
