Improved research system

The new research system allows new techs to be researched gradually by allowing the investment of any amount of funds towards a technology. As funds are added the technology bar fills up and once it received all necessary funding, the technology is researched. This allows players without SS to research much more costly technologies than the amount of kuwal their bank can hold (Currently only players with SS are able to research any technology given they have enough funds, as they can hoard unlimited amount of kuwal in the galactic market). The new update will make researching more convenient.

Additionally weapon research will be split up into attack weapon research and defense weapon research. Attack and defense weapons will be researched separately and the research cost divided up so that attack and defense technologies cost in total the same as current weapon technologies.

There was once discussion of refunding some or all MR used on Bank Capacity as they are now drastically effected by this change of events and their usefulness decreased. Any idea if that will or will not be done with this change being made?

It will still be done, I havent thought of the exact amount yet but probably around up to 50% of the upgrades COULD (i'm not saying will) be returned, as well as with a few changes to the trade broker to discourage using trades as a holding place for resources (i.e. 1% rejection fee).

if announced , it'll come together so people dont whine about getting screwed over by reducing bank and then realizing they cant use broker for storage
