Sorry, I was under the impression this had already been reported,
ok, for me it's like I said, I go to the voting page, I click on mpog top 200, nothing happens, I clicked on all the others, nothing happens, it's like the page is locked up or something,
**Edit**
don't know if this is connected or not, found it in RA bugs section...
the above is why I thought it had already been reported, sorry, I got confused tween games, lol...
**Edit2**
found this a few minutes ago, posted a couple days back...
do not know if this is helpful or not...

buttons dont click, you dont get reward, links dont open in new window, the redirected page doesn't work, etc.

The voting page will be up once it is updated with proper bonuses.

Re: voting issues
do you have an antivirus that prevents you from getting redirected onto another site?kingkongfan1 wrote:ID. 2784...

by nothing happens I assume you're left with a blank page, does the browser continue trying to load, just cannot get any data or does it finish loading?
what url do you end up at then?
vote2.php?
Re: voting issues
no worries, you're not sounding cranky.
it's just that this is a very good example of a bug in which i really have to go down to basics and ask a number of really stupid questions because one thing might not get noticed by the user but might be important for me.
will look into this "nothing happens" because it is weird, there's no way the button should be able to redirect you back to the voting page.
one last question, the buttons are setup that they open in a new browser window, does that work? if not what browser are you using
and you're clicking on the "vote" text, not on the images, right? (cos you said you clicked on top 200, made me think)

Re: voting issues
the voting site known as newgrounds,(in the no code section, top row, all the way on the right,) seems to have been compromised, as this is the second day that I clicked on it to vote, & I get redirected to some malware/adware site trying to tell me that my computer is infected & I need to purchase whatever product they are selling... so far scans of my computer have come back clean,(as in, I did not get a virus on my computer as a result of this) but I think that I will stop voting on that site until this gets fixed... feel free to ask any questions needed...

Re: voting issues
I see that kidna crap all the time at work, watching it load it was more then likely a ad on the page that redirected you. Mine went just fine.
try again later on and see if it does it again.

Re: voting issues
fyi newgrounds is probably the least likely site that to be ever down or malware infested or whatever (also very entertanining if you care to check it out)
so the problem will be something else as sea pointed out (and if it's something related to NG then they will get it fixed quickly)

Re: voting issues
Hate to tell you but if its on an ad, and the ad is on newgrounds, then your statement is completely false Admin.
Its like saying Farmville is safe and you can't get a virus from it.

First of all, the "you have a virus warning" is only an ad and has nothing to do with your computer, just a marketing trick to convince you to click there.
Second, it's only an ad, although clicking some ads may bring potential danger. If you don't click it you will be safe.
I know Newgrounds pretty well. It is a flash site that sells all its advertising space to CPMstar, which is specialised on games. I don't think they would have such an ad on their site, since the target audience is completely different than what the advertisers need (although everything is possible).

I am not familiar with Farmville, but if you don't click any ads, then you are unlikely to get any viruses from browsing on a big site (exception: opening your emails from people you dont know).

Re: voting issues
ok, it happened again this morning, clicked on the "open" button for newgrounds, newgrounds barely got opened then it shifted to this "your computer is infected" BS & starts running a simulated scan... now I know at this point that it is basicly harmless, but it is purely aggreviating/annoying & not worth the 6 AT to put up with it... BTW its not something I click on; it happens automatically, & takes about 6 clicks to get rid of it...

Re: voting issues
I really dont think it's NG related (ok, apparently it's NG related if that's the only site you see it at) though considering I've been going to that site for years and never had this issue and NG is most likely "safer" than all of the other voting sites put together (that and it also most likely has more visitors per month than all the other sites put together)...kingkongfan1 wrote:ok, it happened again this morning, clicked on the "open" button for newgrounds, newgrounds barely got opened then it shifted to this "your computer is infected" BS & starts running a simulated scan... now I know at this point that it is basicly harmless, but it is purely aggreviating/annoying & not worth the 6 AT to put up with it... I think i know what you mean has happened
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrLOOIJG6v4
this possible?
tldr;
check your computer for existing viruses i think it's more of an issue that you already have something that you are noticing this (malwarebytes anti malware is a good scanner)
and/orblock ad.yieldmanager.com from being opened
and/or dont open newgrounds if that solves the issue for you
@nomad: NG isn't kenzu's site.
And yes I'm aware that if it's an ad on newgrounds then etc. etc.
My point was that newgrounds is a safe site, if you're having security issues then they definitely didn't start nor will they end at NG

All I know is this, after the first occurance, I had my computer checked out by a professional, came back clean as a whistle no viruses, adware, malware, nothing. that is why I dared again to attempt voting on the newgrounds site a second time... now let me try to clear up a few things, 1) this only happens with the newgrounds voting site, 2) it doesn't appear to be hazardous, just very annoying, 3) I have visited newgrounds often in the past without any prior issues... so I am going to assume based upon recent posts in this thread that I am the only one that this odd occurance is happening to, & that when others click on the "open" button, nobody else gets the "your computer is infected" message, & the fake scan?

Re: voting issues
sorry for the double post, just wanted to say the following...
voting went without any issues today, do not know what was up, but when I clicked on newgrounds to vote, I did not get the same nonsense I had gotten the last two days... everything seems to be back to normal...

Re: voting issues
there are 2 sites with issues this morning...
1). Top100RPG, in the codes section, bottom row on the right, got a "cannot find page" message...
2). in the no code section, the bbg site, top row second from the right, got a "504 error" message...
will try them both again later, just letting you know...
