make Seperate Officer Payments Official?
Seperate Officer Payment
I suggest this because I have been getting very sick very often, and in turn this causes me to be a lot less active on the game. And I was going to suggest my commander to lower my payment because I am getting just over a mil from her and the lower the income I have the better. But it occured to me that you cannot do this at the moment.
This new feature could be in the 'Manage Officers' button on your homepage.
From here you could set personal payment options.
And to avoid dishonorable payment changes everytime your rates are changed, a message/recent event could be sent to the player(Who's price per UU was changed) Saying 'Your Rates Have Been Made Lower/Higher'
Good Idea?

Re: Seperate Officer Payment
In theory I like the idea alot, and have asked for the same. The larger you get the harder it is to support smaller players, but an idea like this would help do that.
From a coding side, or practical side, IDK

Re: Seperate Officer Payment
I already considered this variable payment stuff, problem remained it was just way too complicated to code, every now and then i run through parts of my code to see if i can't make it work better, but for now it's not an option
I mean for example right now to update the commanders up, the rate and how much kuwal they actually pays to their officers is stored in the database. And these are the only 2 values I need to know.
If i did the variable rate then i would have to query the data for all his officers, find out how much he's buying and then add that to their up.
So something that normally takes up 2 lines of code would take up maybe 15-20

Re: Seperate Officer Payment
it allows you to give inactive officers less of your income , while paying the active ones a decent rate

Re: Seperate Officer Payment
I wanted to increase the amount I payed to a loyal officer, so being able to provide an offset for an individual officer would work for me.

Re: Seperate Officer Payment
Ah, supporter status again.
What about the officer being allowed to accept only a percentage? The total capacity for the CO would be based on the normal rate, but the amount spent on what teh officer would actually accept.
That would make it impossible for the CO to cheat.

if you are less active in the game, you should not take any kuwal from commander because you will be farmed more often.
In this case I would recommend that you leave the commander and offer a high rate to your officers and post it on the bulletin board.
I usually support your suggestions, but if people could pay variable rates, they would pay 0 to inactives and a proper rate to actives.
If someone wants to pay more, should pay more to everyone, so that no one is neglected.
And there is the possibility of SS for those who have it.

well i think we pretty much covered everything, if you get too much income then get officers of your own or use work motivation to decrease income when you dont need it and increase when you can bank it
