Names with html?
If you add html code (I.e. color) into your username, does the html work?

I will not be helping your account in any way if it gets screwed up
Neither will I be helping any account in any way once I do changes that disallow these things and you end up with a screwed up username

Re: Names with html?
I don't actually want to use this, I'm just curious, and I dont want to waste a Name change finding out lol
And it would be my fault if it stuffed up so I wouldn't demand any input from you Admin

Re: Names with html?
atm, I think there's a 50% chance of it working.
It seemed to work partially with alliance names, however things did screw up every now and then when trying different inputs.
Underscore wont be affected, as that is one of the safer characters, even more safe than the spacebar

Re: Names with html?
I would do it to myself (Anything to stand out) but when html gets removed Dune will probably change to:
Thanks I made it myself (In MS Paint and a GIF compiler, it was quite annoying...)
-Alex
- Code:
<font color="orange><b>Dune</b></font>

Oops ... Didn't see your post there
PS: My name is bold orange ... the color of SPICE!
No, Alex, it will definitely FUCK UP my nickname as some of the characters won't be allowed. Well, I don't have many name changes left so I'm gonna ride it out and be an example on how NOT TO do things.

Re: Names with html?
PS: Martin, I think you should leave html in If it's not a security risk. Adds to the fun factor and a LOT of personality to user names and alliance names.

Re: Names with html?
Besides, you don't show up in search with your display username
I think it creates more of a problem than anything else.
This could be done with some sort of programming behind it, without being a risk for the site and without creating problems, as a reward for players?

Re: Names with html?
the reward was meant to be if you buy VIP SS you get this neat shitioz wrote:This could be done with some sort of programming behind it, without being a risk for the site and without creating problems, as a reward for players?
but as you guys noticed, it causes minor issues with searching for names
FYI in case you guys take longer to figure this out, you can also search for "dune" that "contains" instead of "starts with"
Re: Names with html?

I hope it doesn't allow operands to be used in the input fields.

Re: Names with html?
Knew that admin but since the default is "starts with" and most people don't bother passed default it does create an itsi bitsi problem Negligible anyway.
