Updates for Air force
Based on the discussions and player suggestions, here some information on how Air force is going to be changed (confirmed by admin):
1) A new type of SAM will be added, generation 0 and generation 0 SAM missile which can be produced as soon as you have SAM factories. You don't need to research it. SAM gen 0 will be less powerful than SAM gen 1. This will allow new players to build an early simple air defense without spending anything on research.
2) The number of researchable generations of airforce units and munition will be increased.
3) The research that unlocked new generations, but didnt research better generation of unit or munition will be removed.
4) A technology that will decrease the effectiveness of air strikes against buildings will be added
5) A technology that will decrease the effectiveness of air strikes against ground forces (doesn't include SAM units)
6) Spying will reveal what airforce the enemy has.
These are all confirmed changes for Airforce for now. More changes may follow.

Re: Updates for Air force
Why is this in RA forums? RA doesn't have an airforce.

Re: Updates for Air force
Nice to see these developments.
Personally I'm not to worried when they will be released as I would prefer to see something being done on the covert side so they we can get some decent and relevant intel.

Re: Updates for Air force
I just want to see this 2 year update come to an end,,,, and no thats not a dig at anyone,,, I'm just expressing joy in the fact there is some movement, even if its not as much or as fast as I would like. I want to see the income attacks and intell before seeing revisions to the limited attack system we have now, but again any movement is good movement on something that has taken this long.

Re: Updates for Air force
It's not a 2 year update. As fars I know it has been started last year in late summer and released for testing in late october.

I have been playing for 2+ years now & there has been discussion about releasing the air force into the game for this whole time. Air force may have been "started last year in late summer & released for testing in late october", but it has been talked about for much longer.

Re: Updates for Air force
It has been mentioned before, that's true. But coding the game started only last summer.
But if you talk about something for 2 years but work on it only for half a year, it will be wrong to call it a 2 year update.

Cool. I am not asking for exact dates, just wondering if he had an idea, as in a few days, weeks, or if it would be long term.
