Robots
I have a suggestion for a new income unit. Lets call them Robots and they:
1. Produce 100 income.
2. Cannot be killed.
3. Not affected by AE, income is added after AE is applied.
4. No need to be trained but cannot be untrained either or be transferred to another player and do not count towards population total.
5. Can only be bought through cash market and reward for voting and bringing new players.
The goal here is to divert some funds to admin for developing and running the game without upsetting the balance between those that can afford to spend cash and those that can't and resources gained through cash market to be safe from attack.

Perhaps just make it to where you only get a certain amount through voting to make it fair to everyone. I was also leaning towards increasing benefits for every consecutive day you vote

Does the robot suggestion have anything to do with Cyborg suggestion? Interesting that they appeared at almost the same time.

Sort of. I had this idea of a new income unit for some time now but never bothered to suggest it. After reading the cyborg idea, I decided to post my idea also.
