Why does it seem the log out time period has gotten shorter?

I think it wouldn't hurt if the login time be extended to 8 hours.

Afterall most important is that the account wont be used by people who aren't the owner, and that it will not be used by bots.

Current 3 hour setting hurts some players, especially if they have been writing a long message and using a browser that doesnt save messages (3 people told be about that already, must have happened to much more people than this).

The change from 3 to 8 hours will not decrease the security much, but will help many players. Relogging is especially annoying if you use public computers/don't save passwords, or are in the middle of raiding and end up opening mutliple pages and then realise your are logged out, when they all are opened already.

have to disagree on the above 8 hrs timeout would just make it to easy for script users. i know there is ways around the login an captcha but its alot harder to write a script for it then just a simple one to randomly bank at some stage during an 8 hr period so you never have enough out to make it profitable to hit.

I think that this is a very poor reason for extending the logout tiime. If someone really wants to spend a long time writing a message then all that they need to do is write it in the application of their choice (eg Notepad, Wordpad Word or whatever they fancy) then it is just a simple copy and paste into the message window and just click on send.

If their issue is being logged out while setting up multiple raids then a little bit of planning and a logout / login before should not be much of an issue and does not take long to do.

I've had the problem with writing a long message while getting logged out. Trust me, its the worst thing ever! Especially when it's extremely important. For me, it's not possible to open up any application to save my documents, as I Only play from my phone.

Why does there have to be log out times at all? Isn't there a better way to prevent automated scripts without affecting the other players?

1. your time out sucks, but thats bc how you play Razz
2. Not really, as the scripts are client side so the browser once loaded the server can't really 'do' much
