Unit production upgrade cost Empty Unit production upgrade cost

Not sure if a bug or not. I noticed my upgrade cost for UP was always closely related to the current unit production. Something like (UP+1)*1000, however now it's much more costly.

I'm trying to figure out if the cost starts getting much higher after a certain point, if this is a bug, or if there was an update I haven't noticed somewhere.

every 10k+1 it goes up by 1k or so.

1-10k+1 = 1k
10k+1-20k+1 = 2k
...
