Alliance Advisors versus Squad Leaders
I have lost all my "powers" as an Alliance adviser in the alliance link. I can no longer send Alliance wide PMs, nor see any alliance based information. This happened when I became a Squad Leader. Now I can only see the information on my squad and can only sent messages to my squad.
Is this effect intentional or is it a bug?

Are you sure you didn't simply get removed from the advisors?

It seems I have been, contacting the leaders now. You are sure you can do both? Because every squad leader got removed from adviser status.

Yes I am sure you can both because that was the intention with coding the squads, EVERYONE can be squad leader or member.
tested on my home computer, advisor status hasn't been lost after promotion to squad leader.
I also checked that the server is running the same files as I am and that they are the most up to date.
but please test around a bit, if you can confirm that advisor status gets lost as a result of squad leadership then i'll look at it again (although I really fail to how it could, looking at the code right now XD)

Yep, adviser status gets lost. We used to be able to have something like 10 HC members before it came up saying "Cant ... Hold ... Too ... Many ... Advisors!"
We currently have 4 listed under alliance advisers.. and i tried to make SA47 a adviser again... it came up saying "Cant ... Hold ... Too ... Many ... Advisors!"
The other HC members i made squad leaders also got removed from being advisers and now can't be made back again....

ok, fixed problem 1, there was a slight problem how the advisors got counted, hence the message that you had too many advisors.
However I am unable to reproduce the problem with advisor losing their status upon becoming squad leader (this is the main server now, not even my home computer, so it's identical to what you have at disposal)

ok, found why it got screwed now
you guys made 2 squads with the same name, was not intended and check is now in place (there was a check but only when renaming squads, not when creating)
but shouldn't be relevant anymore
the thing that really bugs me though is how you managed to get into 2 squads at the same time.
anyways I deleted the ghost squad so technically should be ok now

TY Admin, everything seems to be working properly now, although my squad manning has changed completely. I'll assume that is on our end, and I'll get the names/titles/occupations corrected.
