Bug is back Admin

That bug I told you about before is back Can this be fixed please. Why does it keep happening??? Can you message me ingame about it please?

ADMIN. This needs to be fixed immediately.

Then you need to go recreate The Imperium ingame along with our logs. I logged in at about 17.10 ingame time. I checked my inbox messages, click back to my home base and i get this message:

[09 Jun] 17:12 Your alliance has disbanded

Whoever has just exploited this bug needs to be punished SEVERELY.

I didn't even click on the alliance-page, didn't disband our alliance or do anything else... yet now its disbanded.

MY GOD. Someone just raped our alliances. Jesus ******* Christ.

Entire accounts are now being hacked and their defences, resources etc... sold off and sent to others (i.e. SA47).

Admin this is a disaster. This bug needs to be fixed... and then depending on whether you can track the damage and fix it - you may have to roll back the server to pre-disaster.

So uhm, It appears that a sever roll back is necessary? To say 00:00 game time this morning if possible?

maybe its not a bug? admin is not happy with whats happening and deliberatly hacked a few accounts, so he can roll back to before the war? sounds fishy

I wonder why just TIE, WR,FIRE and BD's are the only alliances who got hacked and disbanded.

SA was also nailed. someone sold all def weapins.

if a roll back is done, it would be back to a point of a backup

I think he is pissed bc it happened but he knows admin will take care of it.

Wow, i just logged in and was stunned by the landscape. Thought it was a bit late to go hidden now. And then wondered why Black Dragons were gone as well and whether they'd become involved in the war, so I looked on the forum and found this.

Yeah, uh. I'm not affected directly but this is complete bullshit. Personally, if we do a roll back I won't be happy since I did a lot of good farming and got some really good raids in the other morning. Actually some of my best.

The last few hours, well, i can understand losing anything then since it was after the incident. Speaking of, one of my inactive farms had a surprising amount of open Kuwal recently.

I would much rather if it was possible to just replace the alliances and their war scores along with any players that had their accounts hacked be returned back to normal. A roll back would be a terrible idea being there is a server war going on for now and I would think of it as a last resort but it is admins call and what ever he thinks is best.

Exactly. I would hate to see a roll back, but if that is what is needed, then what can you do?

Im hoping it's possible to do what you mentioned. Just repair the hacks that were made instead of a rollback.

I am currently at work hence I dont have access to any of my backups, but there will be a rollback coming, that is certain. It would take hours (and by hours i literally mean like 20 hours or more of pure work) to track and reverse all changes that have been done.

I'll be looking into what happened.
More info to come, I can promise 2 things.
There's going to be a rollback and you will know via ingame message at least an hour or two before it happens (So expected eta is 10 hours from now)

I am not sure when exactly was the last backup I made, I think it was 8th june, whether it was in the morning or in the evening I cannot remember.

i think i know why... most probably this was done by someone who lacked attention, someone who lets say has a thread on the forum, but due to this war, people are not reading his thread anymore, they are active only in war related threads

so i think it's either someone that posted that he sells something, either someone that was playing a spam game

we should check the guys that started threads in which it was no activity since the war started, and there you go... we have the hacker...

I had checked it over and over again to make sure it was fixed, for some reason it appears it wasn't.

that's because he hacked this from somewhere else... you need to find out where you left the door open, it might not be in the login page

no, as you said, it was the login page. I also found out why and what.

I just haven't figured out why the hell it worked as it should when kingofshinobis pointed it out and I uploaded the fix.
I did make sure I tested it with at least a dozen combinations of enterring correct/incorrect username/email/password/etc. and each time the result was at it should have been.
Kenzu was with me when I was doing the fix and checking if it really worked.

I will add a page very shortly where people can lookup all the ip addresses and times that have been used to login into their accounts so that they can report to me all suspicious ones.
Oh yeh btw the "hacker" used a proxy, however my bet is that they stumbled across it while using their normal IP address, hence I'll need to look into "new" ip's being used by users other than the proxy one.

yeh, i'm more worried about the whiners who'll cry when I come home and find out that the backup, that we'll rollback to, will be between 30 (best case) and 50 hours (worst case) back.

I mean i'm not worried, but if I make a public warning that anyone whining about it will get their forum and ingame account suspended for a week, then i'll get accussed of excessive punishing for no reason.
whatever, as I said, enjoy the next 8-9 hours, there's no rollback going to happen until I get home.
