I had assumed (Probably incorrectly) that Gold would go to #1 rank at end of month, Silver to #2 rank, bronze #3 rank....

Evidently not, I didn't have over rank 8 anywhere near the end of the month...

if you already got the medal and are rank 1 you are out of the running. If you are rank 2 but already got the medal then your out of the running, etc etc


soon you will see ranks 25 getting the medal. Its fair in some reguards, and makes the medals kinna pointless in others.,

Thats my understanding of it.

If you drop way down, then rise again I think you are in the running, just dont get it again, but if all the ranks stayed the same then the gold medal would simple be given to the next rank in order.
