Massable strike
It will become possible to directly assault the offensive powers of target opponent.
In this strike the enemy defensive army will fight side by side with the offensive one (in case there is a defending force left at all)
However because the offensive forces have been trained to assault enemy positions and not defend their own they will suffer a penalty in power. Meaning if there is no defence a certain strike force can defeat a larger one if they are attacking.
Attack weapons of both sides will get damaged and attack units on both sides will be dying just like in any other battle
Edit 14 april:
The mission works as follows
You first battle enemy defenses, the weapon damages and unit losses to both sides are identical to a hunt assassin or invasion mission (basically tiny damages to defense and moderate damage to attacker)
If you are victorious you will progress onto fighting the enemy attack forces with your remaining power (whatever strike you started with minus enemy defense power). Now the losses and damages suffered to both sides are identical to an assault mission.
The enemy attack force suffers a 30% penalty in this battle. (deals approximately 70% of it's real power)
Your weapons do not get damaged twice, they either get damaged less if you don't get past the defense or they get damaged more if you get past the defense.
You do lose units twice, once in battle with the defense units and once in battle with the attack units.

Re: Massable strike
well I think everyone can agree that if you're small you don't piss off larger players if they can wipe you out, cos that's like georgia attacking russia, everyone knows how it ended.
or you're small but you have an alliance protecting you.
Just certainly not gonna promote enviroment with people having big strike and nothing else

Re: Massable strike
no no
assassination is something else than sabotage and again something else to massing the strike
assassination you only kill the units with assassins
sabotage you only destroy the weapons with spies
massing the strike you destroy both with your own strike just like you would destroy a defense

Re: Massable strike
ok, 14th april. was pretty accurate with the day, just missed out to mention it's gonna be a different month
Re: Massable strike
It's not 100% clear.
Let's assume the attacker has 10 mil strike.
The defender has 6 mil defense and 4 mil strike.
We assume both do 100% damage.
In the end it's 4 mil strike against 2.8 mil (4*0.7)??
Now how is the damage calculated ?
For attacker - assault 10 mil vs 8.8 mil ?
For defender - attack for the 6 mil defense ?
- assault at 4/2.8 ratio for the 4 mil strike ?
Let's assume the attacker has 10 mil strike.
The defender has 6 mil defense and 4 mil strike.

Re: Massable strike
Ok, battle has 2 phases.
Phase 1: AttackP1 vs DefenseP2
Powers used: Strike action vs Defense Action
Defender receives the same amount of damage as if he had been hit by a raid or farm attack. Tiny unit losses and weapons damages.
Attacker loses the same amount of units as if he had done a raid or farm attack
IF attacker didn't beat the defense he suffers the same damage as if he had done a hunt assassins mission (about 50% more damage than a raid or farm attack)
ELSE proceed to Phase 2
Phase 2:
AttackP1 vs AttackP2
Powers used: Remainder of P1 strike action (strike action used - defense action used) vs 70% of P2's strike action
Both sides suffer the same losses and damages as if this were an assault mission
So your example:
First it's gonna be 10 mil vs 6 mil
attacker and defender will both lose units as if this were a farm attack, and that's how the defenders weapons will get damaged
because the attacker beat the defender his weapons don't get damaged yet but will get damaged later
and then another battle 4 mil vs 2.8 mil
attacker and defender will now both lose units and have their weapons damaged if this were an assault (except that instead the defenders defense units/weapons, the defenders attack units/weapons will be fighting and dying)
Better explanation or still some black spots left?

Re: Massable strike
Well ... you know I would prefer to have a look at the code and have the precise numbers ... but 99% of the players are gonna be happy with your explanation and majority rules
