New Players flood Aderan Wars

yeah Kenzu is right on this one, i do hope alliance leaders or even simple players find the time to drop some words to some of these new players, and the few of them who react to this welcome mail, give em some good advice.

I recall that on a different game I was testing out, after I registered, within a day I received invitation messages from a couple alliances. There many alliances are trying hard to get as many players as possible, even complete newbies who have no idea how to play. It would be great if AW alliances would also be this way.

Currently it is common that alliances only recruit successful and big players, as training new ones takes much more time and can bear certain risks.

Still, sending invitation messages to new players and teaching them how to play not only improves the atmosphere, but also helps the new players, the alliances and the game as well.

if anyone wanna kick some tushies just ask to join and together we'll turn this game upside down... we'll make the stronger alliances be the weakest link and stuff

to be fair, considering how expensive and hard this game is to start, it'd take more than an alliance leader msg'ing me to keep me playing

In what way is it expensive?

i believe it woudl take a player several months before they could become competitive in ADW.

Guess that depends one who he wishes to compete with. If he wishes to compete with those of like size and time commitment, then he can compete from day one. If he wants to compete with someone who has played for 2 years then he should have to spend "months" being able to compete.

Rome has not been built in one day, same with building an empire on Aderan Wars.

And you are right it will take months to build up a competitive account. Afterall one should reach 20-30k UP, a couple million population, and get some of the techs, at least the 27 billion techs like tank weapons before taking part in something big like an alliance war.

I think as far as attracting new players goes, this isn't the way to do it. However, to get a hardcore group of players it's the right way.

Quite frankly I'm just lucky, I can't imagine where I'd be elsewise.

Please suggest better ways to attract, non-hardcore players. I am always interested in better ways!

take out PTR so that new accounts and cat get boosted by the older ones without penalising them!

or how about SS that doesn't cost $, like in SGW.

They can get boosted. You can get 5.000 attack turns value without any problems, it's legal and won't be punished.
With 5.000 AT you can raid at least 1.000.000 untrained, so that's something.

If you want SS which is for free, then invite new players from outside to the game, and teach them how to play.
Use your invitation link.
Once they reach certain size, you can collect your bonuses (resources +90 days of SS per invited player)
Invite 10 and you will get a permanent SS.

This game prevents people from spending too much money, and allows much more fair gameplay than most other games. FACT
In many games you can buy yourself to the top with nothing but money, but in Aderan Wars although money helps, it is the skill that's most important!

Kenzu I'm just saying, you have to pay to play ADW, which I am positive you earlier denied in a previous argument we've had.

SGW if anything, prevents you from paying too much. You can play SGW and get permanent SS by PLAYING the game, not by making others play.

You know what, get me on MSN. I studied video game developments and entrepreneurship. I can identify every aspect of this game in it's design that is intended to bring money in to it's owners. Don't even try to test me. Like, I have an education in this. I am the most credible person here :p

Now, don't get me wrong. I would do the same thing. But it's the fact that people have to constantly invest money in this game that is helping to draw people AWAY from the game.

I don't intend on renewing my SS in this game when I can go play another one also for free without ever spending a dollar and get the same advantages.

and then, to top it off, people with SS have to deal with advertisements and then are asked to vote? I'm cool with capitalism but seriously, wtf.

Both can either be turned off or even ignored. I see no problem with this part.

Well, while I do not agree with everything Mystake says,,,, I do agree the best part of SGW/GW and one of the things that I personally think made it as big as it was,,,, Was the fact you could get SS without $$. You had the option or working and sacrifising that work in the form of ingame resources for SS and that would allow you to compete.


Sadly there is no $$ limit in SGW like there is here,,, and that lead to a whole new can of worms

I think most of SGW success lies that they have chosen a popular sci-fi theme which had millions of fans and also that they have made an early entry into the browser games market.
It's these two factors that contributed the most in their success.

I wont argue either,,,,,, but I still hold true to what I said. It was the first I ever saw that allowed everyone to get SS without $$.

If anything, it allowed you to work for it. It also wasn't a renewable 'membership' because that's all supporter status is. You have to buy an advantage, you can't earn it.

The entire "making an ingame sacrifice" versus a "monitary" sacrifice was the best part to me. Those who played all the time could use hard work and longer hours to reach the same goals as someone who has a "long hours" job, or a committed student. Those with fewer hours to play could make a monitary donation for the SS.

also SGW being based on scifi didn't contribute to its popularity.

its just a theme. besides that, its like any other game out there for the most part. It's the small details that really make a difference, like the kind where ANYONE could 'afford' to play.

permanent SS here is like 100$ isn't it?! that's more than a day's worth of work for most ppl.

I thought it was if you spent $100 total you get permanent SS. Is that not right or am I thinking about something else?

I don't think you are correct, never heard of that before, but that doesn't mean alot... lol, I am interested in the answer tho...

if you buy vip for 100 you get perm ss

it was suggested that once you reached 100$ total you got permanant, but I dont think it became an update.


@ mystake, I think it helped alot, because the cult following to that movie/series is like the one for star ship troopers,,,,, very hardcore and very far reaching.
