either a weekly community lottery/jackpot type of deal

could have a pick 5 numbers, 1-20. depending how many numbers u got right, u get a certain reward (break even, 1.5x your bet etc)
in game sanctioned lottery? like a jackpot type of lottery? its coded in, u just buy ur ticket every week with kuwal. eventually someone wins a % of the jackpot. keep it small maybe to start, 100m/ticket type of deal.

that, or a slot machine. 1mill kuwal/line, max 15 lines. 3 reels, etc. Same as in the casino Smile

... could even let ppl bet their MT/MRs

Sounds kinda cool to me. Adds something new to do on AW. Though I would rather see a few other things get done first.

1) Ya if you don`t mind. I thought I had an account here already for some reason so I tried logging in with Mystake. Said password was incorrect, went for pass recovery, said emial wasn`t the one assigned to the account :S, lol.

2) Well then nvm, lol. can`t argue with something that was tried and failed.

dunno, it's been a while back.

basically there were 2 types. a lottery type and a flipping-coin type

lottery, people were buying tickets for a set price. then like once a week, prizes were handed out, not sure if you picked numbers or it randomly picked out tickets (either way would work)

flipping coin type was you could bet money and flip a coin/throw a die and based on chance of winning, the payout was determined.
i.e. play 1 in 4 and get 300% winning
play 1 in 2 and get 100% winning
play 1 in 20 and get 2000% winning, etc.

I can tell you the problem


if you code it like real life the game takes in 3/5th of the money meaning the house always wins, so 99% of people know the odds were against them and stopped playing.

Admin then made is 55% in favor of the player, and a select few spent 10 hours straight "gambling" and created more money then the entire game had in it at the time, the effect was so severe Admin had to do a mid wave reset.

I do not particularly like this Idea myself, I come here to play AW, not some gambling game on the side... JMO.

basically what nomad said, if you make it somewhat against the player then no one will use it

somewhat against bank you create infinite resources

but the lottery might work

only player generated?

if so its exploitable by 1 alliance playing alone, a way to move resources for free.

It it has game created income then its free resources for nothing.

Over come those 2 issues and you should be ok.

Then why not just make it 50/50 lol. I'm not sure how it worked there so I would have had to look at it myself before I say anything about it.
