AE formula
Hey i worked out a AE formula that is mostly accurate but not fool proof. Its like .5% off give or take on a few people. Admin can you post some official formula for calculating your AE based off of average army size and your army size? It would be helpful for calculating peoples incomes and knowing what your AE will be before and after you buy bulk UU. I know most people that buy 1mil UU take a wild guess at what their new AE would be after midnight. Any hints or tips you can give would be great My basic equation without the numbers is exponential. If you could tell me what "a" and "b" are in (y= ax^b) It would be very helpful. I have some guesses but they dont make sense since i woiuld think you would have nice even numbers for game formulas to make it easy on yourself. Unless you intentionally made it ridiculously hard to figure it ouf by adding 10 decimal places after each number. If you want to talk over msn i can give you my current equation and maybe you could give me tips or tell me how wrong it is

Re: AE formula
Admin i read somewhere that you use a log formula which logs can be rearranged into exponential. If you could give me 1 of the 2 missing variables i can figure out the other 1
Its pretty much the only formula I cant get exact.

Re: AE formula
Hey man... how many people do you have on average counting towards the AE formula? Is it arround 400?... because a value arround that number resulted for my AE value (i calculated the average for the first 13 pages)... if it is that, then that is kinda bullshit... because from page 8 there are probably people who logon extremely rarely or not at all.
I uploaded a chart to show what a big difference is to calculate the AE for 400 accounts and for 240 counting towards the average size.
The blue curve:
You can see that the accounts with armies beween 1.8mil and 4mil (most of the "active") are totaly screwed up while the more "inactive" accounts count towards the AE, because that is the area where the function drops the most.
You can see that the income for those accounts drops to 40%, while the biggest account drops to only 31%... the biggest having ~2 times more UU than the 6mil dudes.
As a comparison:
the 1.5mil dude will have ~1.38mil units "producing"
the 3mil dude will have 1.65mil units "producing"
the 6mil dude will have 2.4mil units "producing"
the 13mil dude will have ~4mil units "producing"
The pink curve:
If you calculate the AE for the first 8 pages only, the curve is situated upper and the majority of the accounts will be less affected by the "inactives".
the 1.5mil dude will have all units "producing"
the 3mil dude will have 2.1mil units "producing"
the 6mil dude will have 3mil units "producing"
the 13mil dude will have 4.85mil units "producing"
OK, all this gibrish means nothing but i notice that most of the accounts are situated on the wrong part of the curve. Good game, for those who are more then 6-10 times bigger than the average counting towards the AE.
If they also have some inactive multies to influence the AE during wars, then good for them... once more (because they are on the less steep part of the curve their AE varies very slow).

Re: AE formula
Really? I thought it was All "active" accounts?
active by what ever measure you use to define the word.
So the low 25% and the high 25% are not even in the equation?

Re: AE formula
technically they are, cos if the top 5 people would delete right now then the middle 50% would still move down, if you get what I mean.Nomad wrote:So the low 25% and the high 25% are not even in the equation?
But to calculate the mean army size it ignores the values of the top and bottom 25%.
Re: AE formula
yeah, I got what you mean and it makes sense
