I tried to setup a broker with Mitola (who shows as having SS) and the trade broker says I cannot setup a broker because he does not have supporter status.
It does work when I try Seaborgium however. Did SS expire, but still show green?

most likely, and fixed

display error had to do with minor change i did when adding the expiration of SS.

Shows red on the player screen, so that's fixed. Still shows green in the alliance economic info screen.

When I click my own name (Alex, id:123) it still shows a red cross and I have SS.
