test server log in gone?

Where did it go? Has it been closed?

it shouldn't be, but as of this moment, it is currently unsupported (it's out of date compared to main, and it would be quite a bit of effort to load up all updates into it, which I am not willing to invest as of right now) and likely to be removed without notice eventually

I say just leave it gone and go ahead and shut it down. It has served its use and should be retired in my opinion.

I guess Test could still be used to just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
Provided there is stuff to throw, of course.

test updates and see what makes sense to keep, would be an approximation

either way, I'm keeping it running for now, but any new changes to be tested would result in a wipe of test server and mirroring of main again anyway because as I already mentioned, it's out-of-date compared to main.

Admin got the gist of it.
Say you want to re-balance races, or add a new one, maybe create a new type of mission, or carry over the Covert explosives from RA to main, I don't know.
You could allow people to muck about with it in Test without affecting Main or Apocalypse.
If it catches on, you can implement it in the main game, if it meets little more than scorn, you can scrap it.

Just throwing this at the wall, mind you.

When you get ready to do that you open test, but if nothing is being tested you should close test. Some people get attacked to test servers because often they can excel there were they struggle in main. This makes them play test more then main and then their main account suffers in the long run. Players need to be in main playing, not test. Use test for what its meant to be, a testing ground. Its been running what between1 and 2 years now nonstop? JMO

I also see buggs are popping up. Says I logged in 2 days in a row +10 gold. (Not asking for a fix, just stating some things are broken already)

However I am monitoring the login gold on main along with a bunch of other variables associated with it, so any issues i should be able to resolve fast

Yes it is test, and thats why I clearly said I was not asking for a fix, but suggesting it to be closed, and it appears it will be sometime after feb 1.

actually setting a date makes sense
people have invested time in it. I'm letting them actually know it will end with a semi specific time so everyone knows the time is running out and they have their last chances

I am betting on some movement as well
