verry true though i doubt anyone would quit a game due to the forum looking less than perfect, it might increase forum activity, and therefor less people complaining about updates thery didnt vote on

I think it's better having the game and the forum in different servers, as admin said, if the server screws up all resource in that server will be unaccesible, so it would be impossible to know what happened until the issue will have been fixxed. I think it's better having a communication way open, perhaps anyone have to say something.

It could be possible to create it on the game server, and then have it "sync" with a second location

well the fresh start argument isn't really applicable.
