PTR and Account Sales
While it is not something that appeals to me I see players selling their accounts for Real Money.
This raises the question of what should happen with the PTR attached to the account. There are a lot of different senarios , options etc. so I thought a discussion would be beneficial.
Should the actions of the previous owner of the account be transferred to the new owner ie. The accounts PTR stays as it is
Should the accounts PTR be reset ie. Zeroed
Should the new owners own PTR be transfered from their old account to their new account.
The above are just some options to get the discussion going. I've also put this in the discussion board because it's something that I think needs discussion and may not require an update. It may be that we simply reach a Buyer Beware decision or come up with a ruling that PTR must be included in any account Sales posts in the forum.

Re: PTR and Account Sales
The PTR is part of the account, an asset if you like.
It measures what the account itself has done, not what the owner wanted to do.
That and the fact that there's no way of always telling if an account has been "sold" or really sold means that PTR will always remain with the account

Re: PTR and Account Sales
Yes I can see that in reality it's almost impossible to see if an account has really been sold.
Now that PTR has become a fact do you think that the announcement in the Cash Market should be updated to include a warning about PTR.
