Unable to train units
While trying to train some spies and assassins I got the following message:
"Train more income units first.
Your realm has insufficient income to support its current expenses."
So I went to my "Income Details" page and found that:
Income Total (Personal bonus) 3,442,760 (0)
Weapon Upkeep 1,136,905
Commander Benefit 18,223,285
My personal income is 3 times larger than my expenses and my commander gives me 10 times the income needed to cover any expenses.
So by what measure is my income insufficient?

Re: Unable to train units
looking into this now.
it shouldn't cause problems as long as your own realm produces 3 times as much as you need to cover upkeep
(just because in case you go on critical realm alert you still have enough to pay for upkeep)

Re: Unable to train units
Thanks Admin.
Also: I wanted to train spies and assassins. Do they have an upkeep? If not, then it shouldn't matter whether or not I have sufficient income.

Re: Unable to train units
they dont, the only thing that counts as upkeep is the weapons and mercs, both are shown in income page.
Re: Unable to train units
ok, i've made a minor change to the formula but the basis remains the same.
you have to train a tad more income units and then you wont see the message again unless you increase your armory size too
right now you're basically extremely close at the possible limit how little income you are allowed to produce with your current upkeep costs.

Re: Unable to train units
Alright thanks mate.
Just a quick question:
If spies and assassins don't require any upkeep then why does this apply at all?? Shouldn't this formula apply only when you try to buy weapons or mercs, instead of applying to supers, soldiers, spies and assassins as well?

Re: Unable to train units
partially you're right.
but, some people in the past have played by having 20-30k uu's and no farmers, workers or miners as income production.
They trained these into spies, reducing their personal income to 0 and then got into negative when weapon upkeep kicked in and they had no commander to cover the rest.
it's a user protection measure, and I wish I would not have to waste time on these things.

Re: Unable to train units
I had gotten to 0 income units, but I had a CO to cover the cost... The only thing I couldn't cover was the officer items. Which was reported as we found it to be negative.
