Joined Oct 3rd, well.. activated my account then.. I had an activation mail in my inbox since Jan 13 2009, but it got cluttered and hid itself on the 359th page of my inbox. How is that for chaotic e-mail management?

I imagine pumping Kw's into UP is a good thing to do.
Have played tGW for .. umm .. a long time. *blushes* So while a few things here are new (and looking good) to me, I think I get the basic idea.

Still, all advice is welcome. For example; at what size is it wise to start thinking about applying to alliances?

You can apply for an alliance any time you like. Most of them will welcome any new players. There is a section on the forum where alliances present themselves. It's under recruitment.
