Alliance page
Currently, if you are in an alliance, all you can see about other alliances is the name, rank, total power, name of the leader and alliance members. (all in the alliance rank page)
I would prefer that people can click on a name of the alliance in the alliance rankings, or at the alliance name next to the members name, and instead of redirecting them to the alliance forum, it would redirect them on an alliance page which would show the following:
Alliance Name
Alliance picture (200x200) (If no picture chosen, there would be Aderan Symbol)
Alliance description (currently the alliance description is only visible to players who are in no alliance and wish to join onw)
-Alliance Rank
-Alliance Leader
-Alliance Total power
-A link to the alliance forums
-A list of all alliance members.
-A button to be admitted into the alliance
(if the player isn't in any alliance currently. If the player is in an alliance it would say: You have to leave your current alliance before joining this alliance)
PS: If the opened alliance is your alliance, you would see an alliance box which only alliance members can see and post there.
Further suggestion:
(Depends on if you like it or not)
Alliances which are hidden would have 2 possibilities:
They can set to be completely hidden, just like now, OR
They can set to be partially hidden.
If completely hidden, no one can see they exist.
If partially hidden, they would be below ranked alliances. All partially hidden alliances in alphabetic order.
If you clicked at them, the alliance page would open up, which would show all information, BUT:
it would not be ranked, it would not show who the leader is, would not show total power and would not show who the members are and also not show the forum link. Basically the only things you could see is: Alliance name, Alliance picture, Alliance description and a button to apply to join them

Re: Alliance page
Can't say I see any flaws in the first ideas other then possibly coding issues. Would love for alliances to be able to have a set block of text for public messages and such.
As for the second set of ideas, I think it still defeats the pourpose of hidden alliances, and not sure what it adds to the game TBH. Its is worth discussing by all means.

Re: Alliance page
I can right away say the thing about hidden alliances wont happen.
Currently if you're hidden or not is a simple true/false (hence 1 bit of data) identification, which seriously makes display on the battlefield (in terms of showing or not showing the alliance name a simple task).
Turning the binary check into a terniary check would be a serious pain.
As I said before, you hide an alliance, you accept all the advantages and disadvantages that come with it.

Re: Alliance page
Any feelings on the first set of ideas? They are good ideas and have merit.

considering atm i'm wayyyy to lazy to come up with a design of said page it's safe to say that I have no problem coding the first set, but by coding means I provide the workload for it to function.
Basically someone needs to make dunno some pencil/pen/computer drawn layout on a rectangular surface of how the list should look like, how alliances are ordered, etc. What elements are positioned in what order/arrangement.
Do that and it could be up and running somewhere around this weekend

just because you know it exists, and have no further information is still hidden for me.

Re: Alliance page
But a name is a name, it proves it exists. It stops certain aspects of the game. Look at Rflash and GD now. Any non alliance account with good power will immediately be assumed to be GD. If I know someone is in a secret alliance, and recieving help, if the alliance name is on the list he cant denie it and some people will use that as a reason to hunt members to punish them for helping.
basicly, if you want to be hidden, then be hidden. Period. What is the point or reasoning for posting the name?

just because you know there is such alliance, and you know its name, doesnt mean you will know anything else.

Re: Alliance page
We will just have to agree to disagree on this one. I see no viable use for this idea myself.
