What can you do under Aderan council protection?

Does your protection disappear when you attack someone? If not, should it?

you will not be allowed to attack others unless you explicitly agree to cancel your protection (you have to tick a box that you agree with leaving your protection)

so basically you cannot do any missions on others, nor can anyone else do anything to you (they can spy on you though)
