good and evil

Let's have a discussion about good and evil.

What do you consider good and what do you consider evil?

Is it good or evil to torture a suspected terrorist which could save 1000 people if he really is one?
Is it good or evil to sacrifice one person to save 100?
and there are even more dillemas.

in times like thoes you have to go with the lesser of two evils id say

Is it evil to kill a piglet ? It's not evil, we eat it and it is good

Then is it evil to kill a kitten ? Guess not, it's no different from the piglet.

Then is it evil to kill a baby ? Only difference between babies and kittens is one race evolved claws, the other brains. Guess not.

I think it's all subjective and strictly governed by the society / community in which you measure it. That's why there is no good and evil.

Let me give myself as an example. These are the reasons I don't kill people or at least I try to avoid it:

1. I fear retribution from friends or relatives of my victim(s);
2. I fear punishment from the community for breaking the rules;
3. I don't think I would enjoy it really (Alternate: I fear I would like it.).

I think killing a piglet is evil.
I consider killing a bug on purpose is evil too.
I eat meat, but if I would have to kill to eat meat, I would become a vegetarian.
I don't have the heart to kill something innocent.

evil is just something man kind created. nothing is truely evil.. it's only ones precerption and soceity acceptence of what is right and wrong
....and so is good

i eat meat squrels rabits deer cows, you know the usal stuff oh and pigs sometimes

(apparently a lot of people think its strange to eat a squirrel but its quite common here not somuch in the general public but to the urban area i live in and others like it across the region (mid west) and probaly down south i dont realy know)

Good and evil is whatever you think it is.

good= you get warm and fuzzy inside

evil= you get the chills ect

if you do somthing evil and you dont know its evil or it is justified i see it as not being evil for example
hanging a black man = evil (with exceptions)
hanging Saddam Husein = good um...nope no aceptions

its more about why you do what you do that makes it good or evil wouldnt you say?

Why do you say hanging Saddam is good?

Saddam was responsible for much less deaths than the present Iraqi government.

beacaus im american ad i beleave bits of what the gvernment tells us

g w bush says hes a nut, i beleave that much

and good point they should hang too? idk i dont know who that government is to be honest
