Just to put a bit of perspective:

There are ~850k Untrainable Units in this account. To buy the same amount off ingame cash market = $262. (The total costs to untrain them all is aprx 6 bill, of which i already have 4.4 in my bank) When you also factor in the other resources of the account, the time spent, and things such as the up and researched facilities, $250 is a very reasonable price
